I love the bag this month! Such a girly athletic vibe!

Pinrose Wild Child Eau De Parfum Towelette $55

I recently just reviewed a Pinrose fragrance. I absolutely love the tie dye packaging of this towelette and of the bottle it self. I’m a huge fan of anything tie dye! I had a good experience with the last Pinrose fragrance so I’m sure this one will be just as delicious smelling. It smells like jasmine and gardenia, both scents I like but for some reason this perfume has cheap undertones. It smells like a $55 fragrance rather than a $100 fragrance.

Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey $17

Always a Clinique fan and this color is perfect for January, it is giving me major garnet vibes which is this months birthstone. Unfortunately, this is like the lipstick from hell. It instantly melts so it looks like you have some glossy lip mask on your lips. It looks beyond cheap, like one of those ‘toy’ lipsticks you give to children to play with. It does not look good, it is not attractive, it is not cute. I highly recommend against this lipstick.

Boscia B.B. Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 27 $38

BB cream has always confused me, is it makeup, is it tinted moisturizer. I don’t know, I categorize it more with a tinted moisturizer, a lighter foundation. It is supposed to make your skin look flawless before you put your makeup on. It isn’t a miracle cream but it does blur a lot of imperfections and its lightweight and just perfect for those hot summer days when you don’t want to wear that heavy makeup. This is exactly what I had been searching for all last summer.

Tarte Frxxxtion Stick Exfoliation Cleanser $22

I was completely lost when I saw this product. I had no idea what it was or what it could possibly be used for. Apparently this is a face cleanser, I have never seen a solid stick being sold as a face cleanser but I’m intrigued. To use, you must apply this as a stick to your damp face and just work it into your skin. I used the product as directed and my only question is, why? What benefits do you get from packaging this in a tube? This product had no other effect than any other face cleanser would at a drugstore, with a drugstore price. Skip this one ladies.

Caudalíe Face Lifting Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF20 $66

So I recently just tried out this brand because January is my birthday month and I chose this gift from Sephora this year! The experience that I had with my birthday was that I’m really not impressed and don’t know what the fuss is about. I think this brand is way over priced. I’m actually a lot more impressed with this product. Not that I have noticed and face lifting or anything like that, but just as a moisturizer. Its such a rich moisturizer but its not heavy and you really feel it making your skin softer and healthier as soon as you work it into your skin. This product has totally changed my mind about the brand.

Ouai Treatment Masque $32

I’m not a big fan of this brand. I have used their products before and it just never seems to work out for me. I just think Ouai products are not made for my hair, but I’m giving this hair mask a try. You distribute this through your hair and leave it in for 5-10 minutes and rinse. It does not specify if your hair is supposed to be wet or dry, but I left it in my dry hair and it seemed fine. The scent is definitely my favorite part of this product, I can’t even pinpoint the scent but it is familiar. It smells clean but kind of fragrant like a perfume an It girl would wear, it that makes any sense at all. Other than that, I’m really not impressed by this at all, it anything it made my hair feel dryer than hydrated. This seems to be the ongoing problem I find with these products and it is most likely because of the fragrance.

Overall, this month was quite a fail for me. I’m always glad I got to try new products but nothing impressed me. What did you think of this months Play! box?
