I love receiving samples from Playtex because they are an obvious item that I will actually use. I received two regular tampons and 2 regular ultra thin pads. You can get your free sample from their website.

I received Olay Ultra Moisture Body Wash I never saw this one before and I’m glad I’ll get to sample it. It smells really clean and it has great reviews and everyone raves about how smooth and soft their skin is after using this body wash.

Pehr Designs Pebble Speck Bin $40

I really love this bin. I could always use more storage. I currently have this in my closet holding all of my tights. Its a great size and could hold a lot more. I think I will be upgrading it into a room where it will be seen more though because its so cute and neutral and goes with everything. You can find yours on eBay.

Chapstick Total Hydration Soothing Vanilla Lip Care $3

I love chapstick, so I’m always happy to have extra. I always have 1o on me at all times! I never tried the totally hydration stick and I’m really happy I got to try it. I truly love it and it works in seconds.

Not Soap Radio Bath and Shower Gel Gift Set $22

I hate get travel sized anything in subscription boxes. Even if this is a “gift set” I would just rather have one full sized shower gel than five small ones. If you totally disagree you can find a bunch of them on eBay.

Project 7 Sugar Free Gum $2

I dont understand why they would put this in the January box. This is an item I would expect in a summer box. If anything they should included the peppermint vanilla gum. I have been very unhappy lately with their food items they have been so lame lately.

Spark Joy: An Illustrated Master Class To The Art Of Decluttering and Organizing By Marie Kondo $19

I love receiving books from subscription boxes but this is not what I had in mind. This is not a book that I would want to read in my spare time and have no interest in it. It is available on eBay.

Blue Sky Day Designer Weekly Planner $16

I’m so conflicted on whether I should hold on to this planner or not. I’m a very organized person but we keep a calendar on our fridge. I’m not sure if I really need this little planner. You can find yours on eBay.

FullSizeRender 9

Patchology Flash Masque Trio Pack $20

Face mask are a must have in my life. I love putting them in the fridge adding a cooling effect on to p of all the other benefits from the mask. I really like that they include a mask for exfoliant, hydration, and illuminating.  You can find yours for less on eBay.

I payed $40 and received $122. I liked this box but I definitely liked last months more. I’m happy that at least this was more put together and I am excited for next month. What did you think of this months box? Click here to sign up to get your next box!

Treatsie Sweets Subscription – Review – January 2015

Treatsie Sweets Subscription Box only $15 / month + $4.95 Shipping & Handling. Each box includes amazing artisan sweets from 3 – 4 small, independent vendors, which change every month, and has a retail value of $20 – $25 before shipping. This is a monthly subscription and you can cancel anytime.

I first want to say that I had a horrible experience with treatise this month. They charged me for the january box around the 15th and then totally forgot to send out my box! I had to email them and remind them, 24 hour later I got a tracking number, no reply- just a tracking number that my box will be sent out the next day with 3 day shipping. I received my january box on February 2nd and did not receive a information card of all the items in the box this month. Then I realized there was a set of items that were repeated from a box a few months ago (old food). I checked out other peoples reviews and realized that Treatsie had substituted a product that I’m guessing they ran out of with an older product. They emailed me the day after I have gotten the January box and I confronted them about it and they tried to convince me that the products were just shipped in last week and that they are sending me the product that I missed out on.  I don’t appreciate Treatsies trying to take advantage of a customer like this.

ANYWAY,

The Muse Belgian Chocolate Biscotti $4.50

As soon as you open the package you get a rich smell of chocolate, no complaint there. They come in packages of four cookies. The description on the website says that these are for the ‘true chocolate lover’ which I totally agree. These biscotti’s are great and I’m going to try hard to make them last!

image5

Dallas Caramel Company Armadillo Caramel Chocolate Turtles $6

I’ve never had anything like this, it was the perfect mixture between chocolate and caramel. The packaging on the website shows that it comes in sets on 6, so I’m upset that we only got a set of 3. They are so delicious and have a bit of a crunch to them too. I’m definitely not sharing these.

image4

Chuao Chocolate Bars $6

I have received these before, and I have received these exact flavors: Potato Chip,Pop Corn Pop, Salted Chocolate Crunch, Sweet & Salty. The only new one is Strawberry Waffle Wild. I love these chocolate bars and I don’t mind getting them in the box, I just did not appreciate how they tried to sneak them in here and try to play it off how it was part of the box this month and how we never received them before. I didn’t think it was right and it bothered me.

image3

Dallas Caramel Company Assorted Caramels $10?

I don’t know how to price these since a 1/2 pound come out to$15 and I have only received .380 lbs. I received the flavors: coconut, original, sea salt, chocolate, cinnamon, orange, apple pie, and drunken nut.I tried the drunken nut and these caramels are so much softer than I thought they were going to be. The drunken nut caramel taste like I had a piece of pecan pie on thanksgiving. So super delicious! Dallas Caramel Company is definitely a brand that I’m going to watch.

This box was one of the better boxes, much much better than last month! I payed $20 and received $26.50.they definitely redeemed themselves with the amount of the box, but I’m still pretty upset about the problem I had with them.  What did you think of this months box?

BeautyDNA Subscription Box – Review – January 2015

BeautyDNA is a fairly new subscription box company. They only send you FULL SIZE products, which I love because I hate paying for sample sizes, samples should be free. The really cool thing about this site is that they match you to your perfect beauty products as you would on a dating site. You fill out a survey about what you want in terms of hair, face, and body products and list what you need help with and what scents you like and don’t like. They send you one to two full sized items for only $25 a month. How awesome is that!?!

IMG_2386

Surprise another skincare item! *cue the sarcasm* I’m so sick of beautyDNA sending me the same product over and over. They better change there habits and switch up there products fast before people start getting bored.

IMG_2387

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum $90

I’m so mad that I have received yet another skin care product for anti aging. I tried it and I’m also unhappy with it. I would never pay $90 for this. It was very greasy and would make me break out if I actually kept it on overnight.

IMG_2388

I payed $25 and got a product worth $90, I’m happy with the amount of the box, I’m just not thrilled that I keep getting anti aging skin care products for what feels like 6 months straight. I have officially taken anti aging off of my list and hopefully I will never receive another anti aging product again!
