Salem Baking Co. Chocolate Moravian Cookies $5

These are kind of like ‘diet’ cookies because they are so thin and crisp. Seven of these cookies are 130 calories. These cookies are super yummy and they are so rich and chocolate-y for such a thin cookie.

Shotwell Candy Co. Tennessee Toffee $6

I thought this was caramel at first so I was excited to see that it was toffee instead. As always when it comes to toffee, I am a fan. Not too buttery and not too sweet.

Seattle Chocolates in Sea Salt Caramel and Pink Bubbly

Literally was beyond excited to see Seattle Chocolates in this box. I was introduced to Seattle Chocolates through Treatise and I have become a huge fan of their chocolate bars! These bars are Gluten-Free, Non GMO, All Natural and are made with cocoa butter and coconut oil! Saying I’m obsessed with these bars are probably an understatement. I’ve already looked at their gifts section for party favors for my wedding in the future.

This was officially my last box of treatise. I’m really happy that I got my seattle bars this month. What did you think of this months box?

Victoria Secret Coconut Milk Hydrating Body Lotion $18

I thought it was weird that Popsugar used Victoria Secrets tissue paper this month for the box. It makes sense that they are promoting some of their products in this months box. I was actually just flipping through their brand new catalog and I saw this new lotion and I was thinking that I would definitely check it out next time I found my self at Victoria Secret. So I’m glad I got it in this box! I has a lightweight formula and smells like a tropical vacation. I love anything coconut so this was an absolute win for me.  You can find yours on eBay.

Victoria Secret Sport Socks $5

I find it odd that this particular sock is nowhere to be found on their site. It seems like it would be a staple. I’m always happy to get more socks especially from a trusted brand like VS. You can get yours on eBay.

Victoria Secret Reward Card $20

I love how they included a reward card for $20. It works like a gift card and applies to anything. I’m so excited to use it on a new bathing suit for an upcoming vacation! You can find it on eBay.

Foodstirs Heart Sugar Cookie Mix $12

The link provided is a little different then what I was given but it was the closet to what they had on their site. I love how cute this little set is. I usually prefer to bake cookies from scratch but I will try it out. They also included a 50% off any of their baking subscription kits. They all look so good I don’t know which one I’m going to go with. You can find this for less on eBay.

The Fringe Hello Beautiful Glass Tray $14

I feel like we already got this tray not too long ago. Am I right? I wouldn’t mind receiving trays like this if they mixed up the design of them a little bit more but I feel like we just keep receiving the same exact catch all tray over and over. You can find this for less on eBay.

Beauty Counter Cleansing Balm $50

I didn’t receive the wash cloth that goes along with this item. I believe its an essential part of this cleansing balm. I have emailed Popsugar asking for a replacement and I’m sure they will send it to me ASAP. Unfortunately missing items have happened to me before, but their customer service is really great at sending out the products right away. This balm has a super fruity smell and it goes on really light weight. You can find yours for less on eBay.

Tilo Heart Scarf $125

Tilo makes such gorgeous colorful scarf. I’m so bored with getting another gray scarf. I would love to have gotten any other scarf from their new collection. This Scarf is super soft and layers really well though. I’m always happy to add another accessory to my wardrobe. Add it to yours for less from eBay.

Jewelry Storm Endless Arrow Ring $28

I really adore how delicate this ring is and how it matches the arrow necklace we got last year. Such a super cute accessory, I’m really happy to have this in my collection. This ring is a 6, so its a little small for me but luckily it is adjustable They also included a 30% off coupon. You can get yours at eBay.

I payed $40 and received $272 of great stuff. This box was definitely my favorite in a really long time! What did you think of this months box? Click here to sign up to get your next box!

Treatsie Sweets Subscription – Review – February 2015

Treatsie Sweets Subscription Box only $15 / month + $4.95 Shipping & Handling. Each box includes amazing artisan sweets from 3 – 4 small, independent vendors, which change every month, and has a retail value of $20 – $25 before shipping. This is a monthly subscription and you can cancel anytime.

Carla Hall Petite Cookies – Mexican Chocolate Chip  $5

This cookies are extremely tiny and crunchy. You can definitely taste the cinnamon in these mexican chocolate chip cookies. I guess the cinnamon is what makes them mexican? The good thing about the ingredients is that you can read them, there is nothing chemical about them, they are all items that you would find in your pantry.

McFaddy Candy Co. Valentine Toffee $7

This toffee is buttery and has undertones of raspberries in the chocolate, it is perfection. The little taste of raspberry makes you go back for more. I’ve never experienced toffee like this and I love it. It is such a unique flavor to have in toffee and now I know why they call it Valentine Toffee because I’m falling in love.

Chocolate Twist Peanut Butter Pretzel Bar $6.75

I’m not usually a big fan of peanut butter, but sometimes I really enjoy it. I certainly enjoy this. This bar is huge. Its like a gourmet snickers bar with a twist. I have to admit I do not taste the pretzel but I’m loving it anyway. I really like some of the wild creations they have on their website and I hope we see more from them in treatise.

Nunu Chocolates Milk Chocolate Lollipop $2

Heart shaped chocolate lollipop is all my childhood valentines were made up. So I loved getting this in the february treatise box even if it did come after valentines day. I thought this was going to be my favorite item but unfortunately the chocolate on this was disgusting, it tasted mothy. It had a horrible after taste, I don’t know if thats just the chocolate they used or if treatise did not store the chocolate correctly or for too long? I’m not sure, I had one bite and it does not taste safe to continue eating.

Unfortunately for me this wasn’t the best month. I payed $20 and received $20.75, the amount is pretty low for me, I would at least like to see a $5 value fee back. What did you think of this months box?

BeautyDNA Subscription Box – Review – February 2015

BeautyDNA is a fairly new subscription box company. They only send you FULL SIZE products, which I love because I hate paying for sample sizes, samples should be free. The really cool thing about this site is that they match you to your perfect beauty products as you would on a dating site. You fill out a survey about what you want in terms of hair, face, and body products and list what you need help with and what scents you like and don’t like. They send you one to two full sized items for only $25 a month. How awesome is that!?!

I really adore there packaging

I finally received a product that wasn’t a skincare product and I’m ecstatic! IMG_2447

Dr. Jules Speciale Découverte Skin Care Avocado Oil Treatment $40

I’m so excited to have an item other than a skincare item from this subscription box. This brand is new to me but I already like the packaging so that is a plus. I love hair oils but my hair has no volume and tend to get oily quickly so I try not to use as much. The bottle recommends 4-5 pumps of oil I only used 2 and it worked amazingly. I love the smell of it, it has a minty smell to me and makes my hair super soft and shiny.

This card tells me everything I need to know about the product I was matched to this month. It tells me that I was matched to this product because I listed my hair as dull and frizzy, and that I like almond oil and argan oil. It also says that I listed that I like a botanical fragrance – which this product has.

I payed $25 and got a product worth $40, I’m not thrilled with the amount of the box but I absolutely love the product I received this month. I found out they have a coconut oil one that I would love to get next after I use this one up! I’m very excited about this brand. What did you think of this months BeautyDNA box?

Birchbox Subscription Box – Review – February 2015

I’m pretty sure Birchbox is the subscription box that started it all. I never subscribed to it because I didn’t like the idea of paying $10 for samples. I finally caved because I felt like I wasn’t getting enough mail and it was a pretty cheap box. From what I noticed there isn’t a set list of items that everyone gets, like in POPSUGAR. Which I really hate, I would prefer if all boxes were the same. The cost of the box is $10 and free shipping. You will receive around 5 samples each month!

This box opens up into:

I received some offers for a free mascara with a full sized purchase and $30 off of $75 at Rent The Runway and Also a card detailing everything in the box.

Sumita Color Contrast Eyeliner in Navy Full size $11

One of the reasons why I don’t like sample boxes I never know what the value I’m getting back. Anyway, I usually wear black eyeliner, I’ve never tried another color so I’m a little nervous and unsure if I will ever actually end up using this. But I’m kind of glad I got it so I can experiment with a fun color that is close enough to black that I won’t feel so crazy. This is a soft wax pencil which will leave a rich and long lasting color. It does glide on very soft and the color is very blue.

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Creamy Lip Satin Full Size $20

This sample is so ridiculously tiny its ridiculous that they would even send this out. They put plastic around its insanely difficult to even get off.  The color I received was Heartthrob, which is a sparkly red. This is a long wearing lip satin which leaves your lips moisturized and full of shine.  It goes on as a liquid but then soaks right up into your lips and drys leaving your lips feeling super soft.

Harvey Prince Hello Limited Edition Perfume Full Size $55

I’m not a huge fan of perfume samples but I actually really liked this one. This is a new brand for me, I really like the packaging and its very citrus and floral and perfect for spring.

Number 4 Super Comb Leave In Prep & Protect Full Size $32

I wasn’t really sure what to make of this when I got it, But it turned out to be my favorite item in the box. I’m already considering buying the full size version. It is a sulfate free leave in conditioner that strengthens and nourishes. I love the smell of it too it has a sweet cocoa smell for some reason. I takes your hair super soft and leaves it silky and untangled.

Gilchrist & Soames Spa Therapy Body Lotion Full Size $15

Lotion is never one of those rings that i’m thrilled to get but this one is a nice size and good for traveling. This might come in handy on my upcoming spring break trip. It smells like cucumbers and the sea – just very fresh. It instantly soaks into your skin and leaves you very soft.

So my first Birchbox was fun, I got to experience a lot of new brands. I’m still not fond of the very small sample sizes but I do enjoy being able to have another surpass at my door and try new things. Unfortunately I am unable to give a final value of what I got in return for $10. I think I will continue to try Birchbox for another two months and see my evaluation from there on to see if it is truly worth it. What did you think of this months BirchBox?
